  1. I live in Indonesia as a permanent resident (KITAP) and used Wise to great satisfaction with its multiple currency accounts till last May. But Wise mailed that their service as it was with all its features couldn’t be continued after May to all ID residents, due to government decisions. They phrased it as:

“From 23 May 2024, customers with a registered address in Indonesia will no longer be able to hold a Balance in their Wise account. This is because of local regulations.
This means you’ll need to withdraw your money from any Balances you currently hold — please do this as soon as possible.”

    What’s your update about that?

    1. Due to local regulations, Wise can no longer offer its full range of services to residents in Indonesia. If you have a registered address in Indonesia, you will need to withdraw any balances from your Wise account. For alternative services, consider exploring other international money transfer and currency exchange platforms that comply with Indonesian regulations.
